Free AI tools for the people who fly the missions.

Built by a CAP member who happens to be an AI engineer. Agentic, frontier-model tools — CAPR search that cites the reg, cadet Achievement Test prep, squadron meeting builder, and more. Built for the agentic decade so the admin comes off your plate and you stay focused on flying, leading, and mentoring.

The pitch, short version

I'm a Civil Air Patrol member. I'm also a software engineer who builds AI tools for civic problems through Fresh Sky LLC. CAP eats so much volunteer time on admin — looking up the right CAPR section, prepping cadets for AT cycles, building meeting agendas — that I built free tools to take the worst of it off your plate.

Three apps live now: CAPR Search answers regulation questions in plain language with citations · CAPStudy generates Achievement Test practice questions for cadets across the Curry through Eaker progression · CAPMeeting builds a 90-minute squadron meeting agenda with safety briefing, AE moment, and drill plan from a few inputs.

All three are free for CAP members and squadrons. No contracts. No upsell. No PII. No member roster uploads. The only thing you give it is the question or the inputs you'd be typing anyway. The reason I can do this for free: operator-side cost is near-zero on Cloud Run with scale-to-zero, and I'm not charging for my time.

Tools

Live and roadmap. Live tools you can try right now. Roadmap items I'll prioritize based on what members ask for.

📖

CAPR Search Live Every member

Plain-language Q&A over CAP regulations and pamphlets. Ask "what does CAPR 60-3 say about cadet supervision?" — get an answer with the regulation cited. Public-domain content; verify current versions on capmembers.com.

Try it →
Beats skimming 200-page regs or arguing in Facebook groups.
🎓

CAPStudy Live Cadets

Achievement Test practice generator. Pick your current achievement (Curry → Mitchell → Eaker), get instant practice questions with explanations. Covers Leadership Lab + Aerospace Education topics for the entire cadet program.

Try it →
Tests every 2 months. This shrinks study time + raises pass rates.
📋

CAPMeeting Live Squadron commanders

Weekly squadron meeting agenda builder. Tell it your meeting date, who's attending, and current focus area — get a complete 90-minute agenda with safety briefing, AE moment, drill plan, and time blocks.

Try it →
Saves the squadron CC ~30-45 min of weekly prep.
📜

CAP Form Drafter Live

Drafts of common CAPFs (CAPF 2A, 24, 31, 60-80, etc.) given your activity / mission context. Plain CAP-correct vocabulary; calls out missing fields instead of guessing.

~15–30 min saved per form. Verify against current CAPMS / capmembers.com before submission.
🪖

Specialty Track Coach Live

6-month plan for your senior-member specialty track — next 3 SQTR line items in priority order, study resources from eServices LMS / AXIS, mentor / OJT prompts, rating checkpoints.

Personalized to track + current rating + your hours/month. SQTR / CAPRs on capmembers.com remain authoritative.
📊

SUI Prep Checklist Live

Week-by-week prep plan for Subordinate Unit Inspection. The Big Six compliance areas, documents to pull, what inspectors actually look at, red flags to fix BEFORE the walk-in.

Squadron-level audit prep that doesn't depend on remembering every CAPR.

Have something else that eats time?

If a CAP task — recurring or annual — eats your evenings, send me the description and I'll build a tool for it. Free. The code is yours. Same constraint as the live tools: nothing that touches live mission ops, cadet PII, or competes with eServices.

Why this exists

Why a CAP member would build free tools for CAP, and what's NOT in scope.

The thinking

What's deliberately out of scope

Talk to me

Squadron commander? Cadet program officer? Wing staff? CAP member who'd actually use this? Tell me what would help.
